FAQ

What makes Kipahton kippahs different?

Every Kipahton kippah includes a built-in clip. The clip is discreet and sits inside the kippah, helping it stay securely in place without separate bobby pins or accessories.

How does the built-in clip work?

The clip is sewn into the interior of the kippah. When you place the kippah on your head, the clip grips your hair and helps hold the kippah in position throughout the day.

Will the clip work on thin or fine hair?

Yes. The clip is designed to grip a small amount of hair securely. If you have very fine or thinning hair, positioning the kippah slightly toward the crown often provides a better hold.

What size kippah should I order?

Most adult men wear a kippah between 18cm and 22cm in diameter. Boys’ sizes generally run 14cm to 17cm. When in doubt, size up — a slightly larger kippah will usually stay on more securely than one that is too small.

What materials do you carry?

We carry velvet, leather, cotton, linen, wool, and ribbed or corduroy styles.

How do I care for my kippah?

Velvet, wool, and corduroy: hand wash cold and lay flat to dry.

Cotton and linen: machine wash cold on gentle and lay flat to dry.

Leather: wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
